HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD I PLAN ON SPENDING FOR A VISIT TO WOODLOES HOMESTEAD?

The homestead is open for three hours at a time, but most visitors find an hour is plenty for a visit. The house itself is relatively small but the grounds are pretty and worth a look around too. Our friendly volunteers are more than happy to share information on the house to help you get the most out of your visit.

IS WOODLOES HOMESTEAD SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?

Woodloes homestead is a museum which children are very welcome to visit. Speak to our friendly volunteers who can help point out some of the interesting artefacts and share anecdotes about times gone by. Public toilets and a large car park are available.

IS WOODLOES HOMESTEAD WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

The exterior of the homestead is wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs may be taken inside however, please note that unfortunately due to the historical nature of the building, the interiors are narrow and uneven in places. The upstairs attic room and downstairs cellar are only accessible by uneven stairs.
